Welcome, CHISD parents & students! Below, you'll find a collection of important links and documents to help you stay informed and connected. From school policies to helpful resources, this page has everything you need to support Blue Devil student’s success at CHISD.
The Importance of Regular Attendance
Consistent school attendance is crucial for students to develop the academic, social, and problem-solving skills needed for success. Missing class can disrupt learning, making it harder to master key concepts and advance to the next grade. It also limits opportunities for students to build relationships and develop essential life skills.
Attending school daily helps students stay on track academically, grow socially, and discover their passions. Parents and students should make every effort to minimize unnecessary absences.
Student attendance is governed by Texas law, the Texas Education Code, and CHISD Board policies.
More details can be viewed in the CHISD Student Handbook
