The Central Heights ISD comprehensive counseling program empowers all students to achieve academic success, develop social-emotional well-being, and prepare for college, career and life. Through advocacy collaboration, and equitable access to resources. We support every student’s growth, resilience and potential.

Our Commitment to Student Well-Being

Student Mental Health Plan

The CHISD Student Mental Health Plan supports students’ emotional, psychological, and social well-being in an inclusive learning environment. It promotes early identification of concerns, access to support, and coping skills while reducing stigma and encouraging help-seeking. Collaboration among families, educators, and mental health professionals supports student success and personal growth.

Curriculum Develop­ment

CHISD integrates, age-appropriate mental health, education, courses covering topics such as emotional well-being, resilience, coping strategies, stress management, emotional regulation, and mindfulness other topics covered include healthy, relationships, and social skills, self-care, and wellness.

Staff Training

CHISD educators and staff receive specialized training to recognize mental health concerns and support students with care and understanding. Through workshops and certifications, they gain tools to create a safe, supportive learning environment where every student feels valued.
