CHISD offers a step teacher pay scale up to 30 years -click here to view, $1,000 a year for Master’s degree and $469 per month for TRS Active Care Insurance.

  • There are no current openings at the district level.

    • High School Science Teacher – 187 day contract
    • High School Art/Theater Arts Teacher – 187 day contract
    • High School Ag Teacher – 226 day contract
    • High School Health Sciences Teacher – 187 day contract
    • Coaching Positions: Resumes and applications for coaching positions should be sent via email to Kevin Herron
      Coaching applicants must match an area of need within the district. Coaches must have a CDL or in the process of attaining.

    • Middle School Counselor – 207 day contract

    • Reading Intervention Specialist K-5 – 187 days
      --Certified Academic Language Practitioners (CALP) or Reading Specialist Certification
      --Experience in MTSS implementation
      --Current practice utilizing various assessment instruments to identity reading difficulites
      --Strong understanding of RLA Research-Based Instructional Strategies
      --Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with teachers, parents and other professionals
